Next Generation Communication Technologies and 5G Workshop

Scope and Motivation:
R&D activities are critically important in the context of developing new products, methods, and applications for 5G and beyond mobile communication systems. Next generation communication technologies and 5G workshop will bring universities, public sector, authorities, operators, and service providers together, and R&D activities conducted in our country will be shared with the community. In this scope, we are planning to organize a panel, a special session, poster presentations, and an industry session.

SPECIAL SESSION
Candidate techniques for 5G and beyond communication networks
(Oral Presentations and Posters) 

This special session aims to form expertise to discuss technical challenges of 5G and beyond systems and to investigate methods that will help reaching the challenging targets in terms of data transmission capacity, latency, and energy efficiency.  In this special session, subjects of interest include but not limited to the following:

• Next Generation Waveforms and Modulation Techniques
• Cognitive Medium Access Control (MAC) and Network Layer Designs
• RF Electronics and Antenna Design
• Radio Access Technologies at Microwave and Terahertz Frequencies
• Software Defined Networks (SDN) and Network Function Virtualization (NFV) IoT and 5G
• Device to Device and Vehicle to Infrastructure Communication Systems (D2D, V2X)  Heterogeneous Network Technologies (HetNets)

The papers submitted for the special session will be passed through IEEE SIU 2017 peer reviewed evaluation process and the accepted papers will be published at Conference Booklet and IEEE Xplore.

INDUSTRY SESSION
5G-Related R&D Project Presentations
Companies in communications sector will share information on their R&D activities within the scope of 5G. Attendees will have a chance to experience 5G concepts by presentations and demos.Please send a short description of the project to Ali Telli atelli{^a_*}havelsan.com.tr
